Comments: An intellectual work by Lewis where he looks at pain and suffering and tries to reason how and why God allows it in the world. It can be difficult to follow at times. The book even deals with pain in animals. My guess is he had a love for domesticated animals in his life; as many of us do. One point that bothered me in the book was that Lewis seems to believe in an Old-Earth; that is death before the fall. However, in his apology he does state that he may be in error in some areas of understanding. C.S. Lewis was certainly one of the great philosophers and thinkers of our time.
